No matter what they add. It's all temporary inflation until Balance to the game to keep steady players instead of releasing content over and over heppens. There is Only so long can they release content at this speed like they are now. Unless proper game balance comes in the form of how the players interact with one another and META changes with ships. This is all short term celebration. Im really not trying to be negative here. Just realistic. Im happy for their Success. But Powerplay will fall to its same demise once everyone grinds merits. Once that issue is fixed with Powerplay and BGS. And Player Retention goes up. Those revenue numbers go up exponentially. Im failing to understand why the devs don't act on this.

Need to go and spend my montly allowance on ARX ... It clearly helps and will give us more content in the long run

It's a shame the stopped all updates 😊on xbox and other consoles. Lots of us stopped playing because of this

i have a game for 5 y , what drive me away is the traveling that i not understand, what drive is what, have about 85h in game didn saw 1 human, have about 4 ship...the map reading is what i cant understand, now they change the look of it so am lost more, when i choose some rute, it sas i need 800 jumps, my ship can do 10, proly i do smth wrong idk, i tried to change the rutes from fastest to economic nothing changed idk...

Elite has missed opportunities over last 10 years to expand in areas like station and production building for the players. In this vast game, there is more than enough space for players to be whole factions for themselves, claim sectors, set up their own fleets to patrol and protect them. Even make it possible for guilds. Get some of the X series and EVE Online and put them in game.

I wish I could be happy about this but ever since they pulled console support, I can't bring myself to play it. I spent well over $100 on ARX alone so it just hurts to know that we weren't valued enough to justify upkeep on this end of the spectrum

I hope we get an update to allow neutrons to be plotted more often on routes

hopefully if the game becomes popular again they will start updating on xbox again

Excellent report @ The Buurt Pit. I am hiding behind a moon, still have WiFi but was too busy scanning at Sifi :) Can you confirm that there are no restrictions to exploration data handed in? I have 1 year of cartographics stored waiting for a moment such as this! Sifi is approximately 5000 light years from the Bubble. Hardly a core system anymore. Is there also a sight on a possible end-date to the CG? Great to hear Fdev is further getting their business back together.

Update the game for Consoles and Psvr2 or have they completely abandoned consoles

Elite is a incredibly important game to me, hell its where i met my now fiancee. I'm so happy support doesn't seem like it will end anytime soon. Early access on new ships is definitely the way to go. My partner i will see you in the black!

As a past PS4 player of elite, I wish it would make a comeback to ps5. It is the one game I miss the most. I know it won't, but I can dream of returning to the black.

sadly this games fps gunplay is just horrible...everything from UI, progression, and art design. Literally 1 or 2 pois on a whole planet is just very disappointing.

No, not surprised of up tick with new ships, been released, take a look at Star Citizen same happens all the time.

Sadly it seems that the xbox Version is forgoten if thay would Support the game on xbox again many would come back and buy Arx again that would help to but it seems that frontier forgot that too

I, like many others as i've heard, came back when i found out the Thargoids were attacking Sol. I ran around like crazy refitting my old tired Conda and Krait and spent a good chunk of time killing goids until finally bombing the titan. When we broke it, i thought i was done with the exciting bit. I bought a type 9, did a smidge of trading and by habit pressed tab because i wanted to go faster in SC, and i BOOSTED?? That was how i discovered SCO. Looking into, i then realised that engineering was less of a grind than i remembered, that there were some new ships and at some point i was learning about PP 2.0. I came back to defend our home, but i've manged to smash in a good 200 or something hours since the that first fighting Goids in Sol. Now, 2 friends have joined me and... i'm excited. I like hearing about these new things and all these good changes. I remember slowly losing interest in Elite because it was the same problems over and over and it felt like it would never change. Same reason i never bought a FC, why bother when i would only have to do the same things i'm already doing, but now i have to or i'll lose it? I'm not about to sit here and chant that all is better, but i am going to watch optimistically. Fleet carriers are pretty useful too, but i do really hope they keep updating the base content as well as adding new stuff. o7

Star citizen is unplayable and I stopped some weeks ago. Thinking about giving ED a shot?

i know this is dead horse but i feel the only thing star citizen has over ed is ship interiors GIVE US THAT ED PLEASE i still love ed waay more

After years of not playing, I am one of those returning players (3000 hours in the game). All I've ever wanted as a CMDR was to feel assured that Frontier is heavily invested in their product and to continue working on expanding features and content for years to come. The game felt for a long time that it has been in maintenance mode and I'm happy that things are shifting more to what they were before. I do hope if the product does well that they'd reconsider their shift away from crossplatform support and that they'll start delivering on things like atmospheric planets, inship gameplay, planetary gameplay loops that isnt just shooting and killing but about discovery and science. I really hope they can also finally fix the fleet carriers making them more than just a place to store your ships. Here's to the future!

Lol im supposed to be debugging software all day, but then i watched this and it inspired me to "just play elite for 30 minutes"...

Still so disappointed they abandoned elite dangerous on console, would’ve been the greatest space sim on the platform.

I'm happy for FDEV and I'm glad they've invigorated my favourite space game, even with the added Thargoid content I only do one thing, I buy and sell Bertrandite. The last time I invested in Elite was for Odyssey, hopefully a trade ship is introduced that finally beats the Cutter incentivising me to buy, everything else is just gravy. I've spent days trying to get Egovae to go Boom, Egovae are rich and offer great Bertrandite missions without a Boom, I'm curious about how a Boom will affect a star system deemed wealthy by Inara.

If the game is doing so well, maybe the Devs will start supporting consoles again

Man I still play this on xbox sometimes. I wish things had been different there. Still at this point I genuiunely think this is still the best "space game" on console. I like NMS and I'm looking forward to Jump Ship, but there is just a feeling the Elite delievers that nothing else touches...I just wish the on foot stuff had made its way to us prior to the console edition shutdown.

I got one of those expanded DSS in a CG a few years ago. I assume this one is the same. I’m so happy that this game didn’t tank because it got me through some tough times in RL. Being able to disconnect for a few hours and just explore made a big difference in the way I handled my situation. I have almost 3k hours in game now and it’s still probably my favorite game of all time. Can’t wait to see some new exploration features while I continue my exploration of the universe. (We are Bob….lol)

Glad to see this game really lean into its largest asset with exploration. They say the games a miles wide and an inch deep, but its really a hundred thousand LY wide and a thousand thick! Hope they update the geology generator next! While this game is already beautiful, it has the potential to strike deep at that sense of wonder.

They are being smart and using the Warframe style of monetization. Only thing though, since im new, if you buy with Arx and then that ship gets blasted, do you still have the same insurance cost? Could see some new people getting messed over with costs.
